Nurse's Station - Ms. Dianna Bowman

As the school year begins and cold and flu season approaches, germs will be shared.  Be aware that hand washing is the best defense for your child.  Encourage your child to wash their hands more frequently and not to eat and drink after their friends.

  • Medication Policy:  Physician prescribed medications requires a written medication administration release form that provides the name, the dose and the times when the medication is to be taken and the diagnosis or reason the medicine is needed.  Parent prescribed medications requires the parent to complete the medication administration release form which specifies the medication, the amount to be given, the time to be taken and reason for administration.

  • Communicable Diseases/Head Lice:  Parents who have children with communicable diseases or with parasites shall demonstrate respect for other students by not sending them to school while they are contagious.  If a student is found to have lice or nits, parents/guardians will be asked to be pick up the child from school.  Before an infected student is readmitted, the school nurse will examine the student to make sure the student is free of any lice or nits.

  • Injury or Illness:  If a student has a minor injury, first aid will be administered.  In the case where the injury appears more than minor, parents/guardian will be contacted.  If a student becomes ill while at school, parents will be called and expected to pickup the child.  Our sick room facilities are very limited.
